The Toad Tavern is cool.
Why?
Because they’ve got a sweet stage. Because they have an excellent sound system too. Because they believe in local music. Because they’ve become an attractive venue destination for smaller touring artists. Because they put together an excellent mini-blues fest that’s coming up really soon.
And because they invited us to play at the Blues Fest even though Reckless Red is a sorta-but-not-really-blues band.
The details? It’s an all ages event on Sunday evening, Feb 28th from 4 to 9pm with a great lineup and a great price. Come on out, have some dinner, sit back and enjoy the fine tunes from some of Denver’s best!
Tickets are at www.ticketswest.com or King Soopers …you can also print out the tickets below and get the discounted price at the door before 6pm. See you there!
Roadhouse Joe: 4pm
Teresa Lynne Band: 5pm
Reckless Red: 6pm
Paul Soderman & BluezHouse: 7pm
The DeltaSonics: 8pm

Last Saturday’s show at Lincoln’s was great sweaty fun…as usual. Something about that place just works for Reckless Red. Can’t explain it, but you know it when it’s happening. Exhibit A: We tried a new experiment …handing out discs of Reckless Red music to people who wanted to hop on our mailing list. Well basically, the CDs vanished moments after CJ made the announcement — poof! We’ll have to make some kind of supply and demand adjustment next time around…like maybe more CDs?
Anyway, Lincoln’s made us tired and happy once again…
Next stop? We’re back at the cozy Horseshoe Lounge for a return visit. Will there be enough room for the crowd? Stay tuned ….or better yet, do the Shoe with us!

And now for something completely different…
an *early evening* show on the Reckless Red calendar!
Yes the fine folks at the Toad Tavern are hosting us as part of their newest weekly live music series:
* Sunday, November 15th
* 5302 S. Federal Circle, between Belleview and Bowles
* Music from 6-8pm
* All-ages
* $5 cover charge
* Southern-style BBQ on the menu if you want to buy some dinner too
If you’re not into staying up late, we hope you’ll grab this chance to get a Reckless Red fix and get yourself home to bed on time — an early show like this may not come around again for a long time.
And hey, even if you’re a night owl we’d love to get your party started…
There’s plenty of tickets down below …print as many as you want! And be sure to bring enough for the 37 friends coming with you…

I want to thank the very cool guys at Tribes Drums for allowing me to play the set they provided at the Blues Challenge and for allowing me to use some (very important) parts of my own gear. It was smooth and hassle free due mainly to thoughtful people. I am, I admit, addicted to Sabian Ozone cymbals and to Sam Bacco snare drums…both I used at El Chapultepec Too. Thanks so much to the gang of pros at Tribes for your understanding and help. John Ware - Reckless Red

Whatever you wanna name it, Saturday night was simply smokin’ at the Hangar.
Gerry Moss from Dallas came into town to rip it up with us …and he delivered in a very big way. There ain’t nothin’ like a performer that gives 110 percent…
Seriously, you shoulda been there — Lorie said it was the best Saturday night at her bar *ever*!
The good news is you’ve got one more chance to see Gerry with us — this Friday night ( August 7th ) at Captain Jack’s in Westminster, at 8468 Federal Blvd. Hope you’ll come out and sweat with us..
