Gotta Love That Bucket
January 25th, 2009Well folks, last night was tons’o'fun in Reckless Red-ville. The players were loose, the music was tight, and the crowd was right. They came to enjoy some fine swampy music, so we made sure they came to the right place. The audience-love was flowing with all sorts of hollering, whistling, dancing, applause — the kind of appreciation that brings out the best in a band. And people showed their true devotion by wearing “I’m reckless” stickers proudly on all sorts of body parts!
Some people live nearby and walked a few blocks over …and others came from way, way, way across town ( which we *really* appreciate! ). And all the fans on hand made it a great night. When it’s fun for you guys, it’s even more fun for us without a doubt. CJ was hoarse but went the distance without a lot of gas in her tank. Rooster’s guitar was rippin’ it all night long. Our friend Hex sat in for some down-home lap steel playing in the third set …yesssir, folks, those were some sweet moments at the Rusty Bucket — RR at its reckless best!
In little league, the batting coach tells you step into your swing and never step in the bucket. But last night, we stepped into the Bucket and it felt like a home run. So we’ll definitely be squeezing in another vist to the Rusty Bucket sometime soon. And by the way, you’re invited…
