Reckless Red

Lincoln’s Roadhouse - 11/09/08

November 5th, 2008

Hard to believe a bar can do good business on a Sunday afternoon, but we can only describe Lincoln’s Roadhouse yesterday as packed ….just packed.  Jammed completely full.

Of course, the band may have had something to do with it  …heh heh.  Many thanks to all of you that came to rock the joint and blow a couple of fuses with us!

See you Thursday night ( yes, this Thursday, Novenber 13th! ) at the Paramount Cafe…

Extra, extra!

September 11th, 2008

I’ve just sent out our first newsletter in quite some time, so I hope you were all on the mailing list!  If not, never fear.  You can sign up at any time via our contact page — but of course, the best time to sign up is now.  (Obvious sales pitch there.  Ugh.)  Next month’s newsletter will feature part one of our new RR editorial feature “Nearly Useless Information About Us”.  A very compelling read, I must say.

Hope to see you all Saturday night at the Hangar Bar!

John featured in CMB

September 2nd, 2008

Hey, CJ here, just giving you all the heads up about a cool article in the Colorado Music Buzz about John (our drummer.)  It’s actually part one of a two-part feature, and it’s a fun read.  Check it out either in the paper version, or online at http://www.coloradomusicbuzz.com (click on columns, then on Drum Coach.)

Also, for those among us whose schedules aren’t friendly toward midnight shows, we’ve got one at noon this Saturday, September 6th.  It’ll be a fun one, at Mile High Harley Davidson in Parker.  Full details are listed on our “dates” page.  Bikes, food, and music — sounds like a good time.

Perforated Things

July 7th, 2008

The mark of a true professional is never letting his personal life interfere with his professional life.  That makes our sound man a bit excessively professional!  Sound man Bob (aka Mr. CJ) was considerate enough to wait until Reckless Red was on a short summer hiatus to get a perforated appendix.  He’s fresh out of surgery this morning, and doing well, all things considered.

Sending out some healing vibes to you, Bob!  (And if you try to be macho and recover too fast, I’ll have to kick your ass.)

Well, that was fun!

July 2nd, 2008

We had a great time at last night’s show at the Soiled Dove with Leon Russell.  Great crowd and energy, and I had more time than usual to talk to people after our set.  That’s always a good thing.  It’s hard to complain about anything when you’re playing the Dove.  Leon has some fun guys playing with him — Grant, it was cool chatting with you.

To all who were there, thanks for coming out!  I loved meeting you.  Don’t be strangers.
